Kaveh was a chef who became a zombie. After eating human brains instead of whole humans, he discovered he could do things no other zombie could. He could think and speak and remember again. He wanted to share his insight, to be a champion for zombie equality, but failing to tempt the others to follow his diet, he decided he would convince them to change by being a great chef.
In bringing his new friends to his sister Farah's house, he accidentally endangered the lives of his old friends, and Fidel "Speedy" Gonzalez, Kaveh's business partner and fellow chef, gave his life to protect Lisa. Lisa had prided herself on having watched enough zombie movies to prepare her for this crisis, but seeing Kaveh's unique condition threw all her assumptions into doubt. She fled when her feelings for Kaveh started to overwhelm her reason and fell victim to her epilepsy while alone in the woods. Discovered once again by the other humans, from whom she'd kept her epilepsy a secret, she was embarrassed to admit leaving Speedy's body behind with the zombies, including one zombie who at that very moment was using his sister's kitchen to prepare a particularly morbid meal...
