Once upon a time, Kaveh and Lisa were just two people who needed to do whatever it took to survive the zombie apocalypse. Things went downhill from there.
Kaveh sacrificed his last moments of consciousness before he became a zombie to save his best friend Speedy, as well as Lisa, to whom he was already attracted despite her homicidal anti-zombie prejudice, and a bank teller named Helen. He came back to life as a mindless creature bent on devouring the flesh of the living but discovered that a diet high in brains would give him some memories and self-awareness again, a feat that none of the other zombies could manage.
Lisa, with her knowledge of monster movies, almost survived the night, but when she figured out that Kaveh wasn't as vacant as the movies would have her believe, it brought all her assumptions into question, and in a brief moment of sentiment and confusion, Speedy's corpse got close enough to bite and end her life.
When she died, it was on a street crawling with hungry dead, and Kaveh, the closest of them, had just finished eating the last of his brother-in-law's heart...
